Pixies? Elegant? What?

Yeah, elegant pixies are my thing.

Just kidding. Actually, once upon a time I was planning to sell jewelry on Etsy and I was trying to come up with a way to describe my personal style. I like spunk and peppiness, but I also like to express it in understated and more elegant ways, so taking it together, I came up with Pixie Elegance.

And then I did nothing with it. For 6 or 7 years, at least.

In that time, though, I learned a lot, I did a lot, and I have grown a lot. With that, so has the concept of what Pixie Elegance should be, and now this little seed of an idea that was once inspired by a love of crafting and a need for more income in my family, has grown into a multibranched dream of . . . okay, that metaphor got away from me a little. The point is, there are a lot of parts to where I hope PE will one day be, but what it is from the start is:

• a celebration of craftsmanship

• a celebration of the artisans who engage in crafstmanship

• a connection between artisans and those who appreciate their crafts

• a place of openness and honesty where you can see any and every part of how something is made
