Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

Hello, my pixies!

I have a lot of exciting things happening, but regret that they are not happening quite as quickly as I would have liked.

I was originally hoping to launch the shop portion of the site around June 16, but the current class that I have started is very difficult. Actually, it was mostly just a crazy amount of work in the beginning of the course, and seems to be slowing down to a more manageable amount now, but I lost a couple of weeks of working on preparing items. Rather than launch the shop haphazardly or with fewer items, I’m going to wait and launch it in July so the items can have their full attention.

My goal is still to have 7 total lines to start with, 3 literary and 4 mythical-creature-based. Each line will include candles, soap, and jewelry. Some of the ideas I have for jewelry may not happen right away, so I’ll plan to keep expanding the lines as well as eventually add to them. Most of the jewelry will also probably have to be made to order and thus might take a little longer to fulfil orders, simply because of having to make sure I have the correct metals to work with.

I’ve been posting some updates here and there on Instagram as far as the soaps (and silicone molds I made for them - a rather expensive experiment that was about 50/50 in results) go, and I’ll continue to post there as well as on Facebook and Twitter, so please check Pixie Elegance out in all those locations!

And I’m still figuring out the best locations for posting or sharing the various kinds of content (I’ve done the research for what’s considered best, but that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily what works best for me or for my pixies) so if you’re not seeing some content in a place you prefer it and you want, say, more updates on Twitter because you’re not on Insta as much or something, just let me know! I’ll probably eventually add some more social media as well but for now this is what I’m capable of keeping up with.

I am going to try to get some video up too, but I haven’t decided yet where. I can post video in all locations, but if I do a live video it’ll probably have to be one place at a time. Would you prefer that on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube? (No, I don’t currently have a YouTube channel specifically for this. But I can!)
