So I guess a thing has been happening . . . .

Hey, everyone. It’s been a minute, huh?

So . . . 2020. What’s up? What’s going on with you all? I guess there’s been a thing happening in the world or something. Or, like, a billion things. Or, like . . . the whole world going up in smoke. Something like that.

None of which excuses my extended absence, of course! The, like, 55 hours of work plus MBA work last spring might have. Since then, though, no excuses at all. So I won’t even try.

Moving forward! I took the summer off from classes and have resumed my MBA work this fall. I attempted my first ever goat milk soap this summer and . . . am going to have to try that again. I thought for SURE that all the lye was dissolved but it turned out it wasn’t and the entire batch was ruined.

I made myself a Jane Austen necklace and earring set as part of my practice with more resin work.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

That is a painting of Jane Austen that I doctored significantly in Photoshop to look like a cameo, it is not an actual old photograph of her. Those weren’t really a thing in the late 1700s and early 1800s. I mean, they kinda were but . . . oh, if you want the history of cameras you can go look it up yourself. ;)

And besides that I’ve generally been doing, like, a bajillion things. Mostly trying to figure out when and how I can get Pixie Elegance as an actual business out of brilliant-concept stage and into brilliant-reality stage. Every single direction I attempt, every single angle I look at it, I come back to one conclusion: I need a business partner. Someone who can take on the same passion I have for artistic and artisan pursuits, for lifting others up, and for merging online and real-life interactions into one giant community; but who can bring to that endeavor all the things I can’t. I have design skills; I need someone with financial skills. My business classes have taught me more than anything that I actually have a much better natural aptitude for good business and marketing strategies; I need someone who is good at implementing the details. I have huge dreams. I need someone who can help me prioritize those into individual steps.

Know anyone like that? For real, have them send me a message through any of the blog’s contact info or the Facebook page!

Meanwhile, if you’re an artisan who might be interested in being a supplier to an artisan retail store, contact me about that too! I can make my own things, but until I have other suppliers I won’t be anything other than an individual crafter.

This is going to happen, people. It’s going to be magical. Pixie-magical!
